Sarah was born in Rounds Green, Oldbury, Worcestershire, England, the yougest of eight children of parents James Poole and Maria Yerrall she married William Hinton in 1900. Continuing to live at Rounds Green, Oldbury they eventualy had six children of their own.
Dorothy was born in Oldbury, Worcestershire, England on 17 July 1910, one of six children of parents Oliver Ward and Elizabeth Smout she married William Hinton on 1 August 1931 at St. James Church, Oldbury. Continuing to live in Oldbury and Rowley Regis they eventualy had three children of their own.
